3 Skilsets any Online or Network Marketer Needs for Success
With all my work in and around Online and Network Marketing for the last decade, working to figure out how to make money online, I still haven't found anyone who would put it all in one place. Mostly, it quickly ramps up to some really unaffordable stuff that people will buy just to listen to once, or just put on their shelf.
But since I'm serious about actually making money online, I'm working this out for myself, but posting it for everyone to see and use.
Nearly there, actually, but I have to build up some more backend so anyone could follow a path and sequence to achieve real independence starting from scratch. And in a couple of months, I hope to have everything laid out just fine.
The 3 skillsets needed (as a minimum) are:
1. Leadership
2. Marketing Skills
3. Business Building
In Leadership, a person needs to be certain about his own capabilities and know enough about inter-relationships that he can coach others to greater success.
In sharing my research with you all these many years, I've published a string of books which lay out the system this unverse runs on. And out of this, you'll have the basics of personal certainty. You can find these under the Go Thunk Yourself series, at my Lulu.com bookstore. Now, there is a little more to this when you are being a leader, but not all that much. And I have a book in the works right now which will be a series just on this (so stay tuned... if you haven't subscribed to this blog coming to your email, the link is up there on the right...)
Marketing Skills is again based on knowing relationships, but the difference here is in giving real value first - something which has evolved with the new transparancy of the Internet. If this were a bazaar stand, you'd have a huge amount of free samples, a slighly smaller set of low-priced introductory offers, and then your best stuff would be out of reach in the back - shined up and under a spotlight.
Magnetic Sponsoring is a key step in this, as it has to do with how to attract qualified people you can sponsor into your MLM downline. But practically, this "funded proposal" also introduces a person into getting the basic marketing training they need to succeed.
When Mike Dillard came out with this, he let the cat out of the bag for the Funded Proposal - now there are multiple "also-rans" who build their own business out of this concept. None of these come close to Dillard's quality, except one: MLM RockStars. The reason being is that it's creator, Mark Hall, takes a broader approach to this and has built in more tools which actually train a person on what they need to succeed. It isn't a scene of "buy this now, and then I'll keep mailing you with nagging hard-sell in order to have you buy some real high-priced stuff you aren't ready for."
When you opt in to Hall's reasonably-priced "Pro" version, you get the complete access to what you need to really get going with an online business.
Your jumping-off point is in mastering the funded proposal and start building your list.
Business Building is the next action from there on. And this has to do really with understanding why people respond to your marketing and how to build a continuing line of goods and services which will not only give you a stable base to work from, but will also provide incredible value to your clients.
The first point I recommend on this is to master "SpeedWealth" by T. Harv Eker. If you are into MLM, then there is also "Millionaire Mind for Network Marketers". Neither repeat themselves, but both are built on the principles you need to understand in order to succeed in any online business.
While I'm in the process of rounding up and then breaking down and reassembling the core principles into a working Online Business model, I wanted to get these few data out to you so you can check them out for yourself.
