Becoming A Writer - Dorothea Brande

Recently found this book as an online PDF and decided to share it with you:

 

The interesting part is that it is seemingly a very successful way to get published these days - simply by getting your books up and published online as ebooks. Not only through Kindle, but also Smashwords and Lulu. While Amazon has CreateBooks, Lulu is also able to do a wide variety of hardcopy publishing - which enables you to sell within their community as well as Amazons.

When I have time, I hope to curate more content such as this - and perhaps my own ebook on how to successfully self-publish.

What has come up recently is content curation. All marketing, especially on the Web, revolves around leading your community and so attracting followers. There is a great post on Ed Dale's Challenge site. And while this is just the tip of the iceberg (and I also note that I may have thrown you into the icy water with his complete course there) this video is the best I know of which tells you how to get started in market leading. This is a natural, since I told you about the "Business Diamond System", it's been kicking my butt all over the place. (Other than taking up Ed Dale's idea of doing a 365-day content creation challenge.) Because while I have a pretty good grasp of my own purpose, the next step down is Community (Market)...

Revenge is best served as Outrageous Success and Prosperty It has long been said that paying back tit for tat just ruins 2 lives. And that a person should learn to forgive and move on when slighted. As well, that critical thought of others simply exposes one's own self-esteem lacks. But you also have this problem where someone has wounded you deeply by something they said or did. And these thoughts tend to hang around for days. Yes, you can simply release them, and pray for them, and carry on with your positive approaches to life while those thoughts will eventually fall away. Another approach is to bury yourself in productive work. So along that line, I would suggest this datum: "Revenge is best served as Outrageous Success and Properity" I would tell you to spread this prosperity around, to invest in other's success. Substantial charitable contributions is always better than ostentatious displays of your success in buying expensive cars, etc. As well, sensible investing will ensure your success strengthens. (And to that, I recommend you get in touch with T. Harv Eker's programs on the Millionaire Mind.) To be sure, you limit your contact with such people and their emotional cancers of Criticizing, Complaining, Comparing, Competing, and Contending - as Stephen Covey covered in his "7 Habits of Highly Effective People".
